Parking Wars
Some wanker ran into my car in the parking garage while they were trying to get into the parking spot on my passenger side. It looks like they made contact with my car, decided it was no big deal and kept going until they got into the spot, saw the damage to my car, and reparked somewhere else. So I decided to call it in to my insurance company, which is really my dad's insurance policy. Turns out, I'm a little too old and married and independent and living in Virginia to still be on my family's insurance, so I had to get my own insurance. No big deal, I had to grow up at some point. Anyway, I moved Nick over to my new policy all by myself. I seriously think I feel more grown up now than I did when I bought my first house. Here are some pics of the damage:

Keep Going
It just occured to me that I'm not getting any younger and life isn't getting any easier. So, I need to have some fun before I have children. I am really hoping to get together either a big group camping trip or go to a festival somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas?

I Need a Break
I am having an awful week. I feel completely overwhelmed by life in general. It's way too much trouble to have to refill the dixie cup holder in the medecine cabinet or clean the kitty litter boxes. Then again, that's always way too much trouble. I would really love to get rid of my cats. This week, the burden of thinking about how much their cat food costs is really getting to me. The burden of thinking about how much everything costs is really getting to me. I've thought about getting a second job, but then I worry that I will never find the time to apply to grad school. And then I worry about applying to grad school. And that's pretty much what its been like inside of my head this week. AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I could use a break, from life.

Getting Old
I am turning 27 this week. I remember a time when birthdays were fun and I looked forward to them. Clearly, that ended a few years ago. I can barely say 27 without it getting caught in my throat and I almost cry everytime I think about what a bad day my birthday will be. I don't really know anyone in this city well enough to get together with them on my birthday. I always thought I would be in a career by now, at the very least, have a job I cared about or one that was getting me somewhere. I am going to Columbia for 2 days next week, so I will get to see my family and some friends, I'll pretend we are celebrating my birthday.
