I learned some neat Virginia history today that I thought I would share with all of you. I have already emailed it to some of you, so sorry.
This link will take you to a picture of the Stonewall Jackson monument on Monument Ave. in Richmond. I would take the picture myself, but that would require stopping on the way to work, or I guess taking a walk right now to get a pic. Anyway. In the monument, Stonewall is shown on a stately horse, as he should be, I suppose. However, that was not his horse, nor the horse he was on when he was shot. This is the story about his real horse. Not as stately and with a very unfortunate ending.
